Warning negative side effects of Comic Con may result in: exhaustion, dehydration, headache, nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, and sore/achy body. This is commonly known as the “Con hangover”. It will leave you shaking your fist yelling, “Kkkkkhhhhhhhaaaaaaaan!!!” or grumbling it if you’re in too much pain. Don’t worry, the specialized nurses of the XX crew are here to help with a handful of tips to help you out.
1. The week before a convention can be filled with all-nighters, traveling, and/or working on last minute costume details. It’s very important though that you don’t forget to pre-game. Your best bet is to save the day before you leave for packing and getting a good night’s rest because soon you will have a nerd boner that will for sure last longer than 3-4 hours (don’t worry you won’t need to consult a doctor).
2. I know it’s hard to tear yourself away from all the awesomeness that is San Diego Comic Con, but you should, just for a little bit. Whether it’s to stop and enjoy Gaslamp District or to shut your eyeballs for 30min while in line for a panel. Take a little time away from the Con. to reboot mentally and physically.
3. Energy drinks (Only because we can’t recommend crack or any other crazy drugs)!!! The best part about this suggestion is that usually at these events they are passing out energy drinks and such for free and free is good.
For those of you who hate jitters and can’t take a lot of caffeine we recommend FRS supplements to keep you going.
. 4. I know you want to try and do ALL the things, but it’s not going to happen. Pick 2 or 3 things you for sure want to do in 1 day. Otherwise you’re just going to end up hulking out, and there just isn’t enough room for that.
5. When you finally make it home, and your mind is officially blown, it’s time to lie down in your own bed and fall into a little geek pleasure coma. Take it easy the next few days and load up on the OJ and vitamin C. I’ve learned firsthand that after a convention is the prime to get sick, so take precautions.
See all you awesome sauce people soon! Keep a lookout for where you can find us at Comic Con. <3
